Bio: Adam Duritz of the Counting Crows wrote the song "A Long December" after a friend was hit by a car in December of 1995. Most of us know the lyrics by heart, even if we'd care not to admit it: "And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe maybe this year will be better than the last." Trite? Perhaps. But it captures how I feel. 2007 was a particularly difficult and challenging year, and I hope 2008 will be better.
